Dear fellow students,
Welcome to what is, the beginning of a blog which will help the average London student work a little bit of culture into their lives, through the art of theatre; whether it be a play, a musical, a panto, off-broadway, stand-up, improv etc.
After a rigorous night of browsing and googling in an attempt to discern which play would best suit my student budget, based on price and critics reviews, I had a thought: surely it would be convenient if these were in the same place, and coming from a person who cannot dish out the money for a front row seat- Et Voila, my blog was born.
For the course of this blogs lifeline, I have re-calculated my own student budget and set aside money for a different play once every two weeks; yes this may take away from the odd KFC at random times and hours, but sacrifices must be made.
I want to be able to tell you what the show was like from the cheap seats, whether it was worth the 15-75 snips you took out of your weekly food budget. Throughout my progress, I will attempt to review the actors, directors, set designers, make comparisons, take my reviews and compare it with the critics and make a decision as to whether it was worth it or not.
Details for each play will be as follows:
Play:
Place:
Price:
The 3 P's are all you need. From there, I will proceed to write a review, and let you know if it is a YES or a NO. With me there is no in between, I will write honestly and concisely and will not leave any detail out.
Now, I'm not the most experienced with reviewing , but here goes nothing, and I hope those interested will follow and submit their own opinions.
This blog is not just for students, regardless of what the title may say, but anyone who would like to see a show and literally cannot afford the creme de la creme of the theatre at this time.
Love Always
